Monster Trucks
My boys love their monster trucks! The big wheels, the loud engines, and the fun personalities (ok, well maybe that's only true of the toy versions). As you probably guessed, today's All Wrapped Up post is about those marvelous machines.
We discovered this cool little trucks by accident one day when I bought them in blind bag form. They are about 1.5 inches long and come in lots of fun colors. They have little keys that are inserted into their backs. When the key is turned, it launches the truck a good distance (4-6 ft). The boys enjoyed making ramps for them and testing shooting them across the kitchen floor. They were a great toy to take along somewhere and would be a perfect stocking stuffer. This pink beauty looks like a great "first" truck and comes in this girly color and in a more neutral green. When the child pushes down on the monster's head, the truck is propelled forward. This chunky, textured truck would be a great first Christmas present, as it is designed to encourage the child to chase after it. As a bonus to parents everywhere, this toy doesn't have any obnoxious lights or sounds (yay!). Click on the picture to grab this adorable monster truck for your toddler.
My boys love this series of trucks as well. The tires can be "revved" up, which gives the truck impressive climbing and going power. Once again, this is a great toy for some ramp action. Unlike a lot of moving toys, this one actually moves and moves well. It will go on carpet and over clothes/toys. And, it has NO batteries! It's available in lots of different patterns and colors, too. Rev your engine and get moving to buy this awesome toy by clicking on the picture.
This truck disassembles and can be reassembled by the child during play time. How fun for your budding car mechanic? The drill is powered just like the grown-up version, making it even more fun. Tap the picture to see all the details.
Grab the ram by the horns with this chunky, durable monster truck. It's kid-powered for the ultimate playtime experience. I really like that the truck "characters" are playful and non-scary, unlike some of the other brands of monster on the market. See the full line up by clicking on the picture above.
I can hardly write a blog post without including a Lego set. These builder toys are timeless, making them a great investment for any family. My husband cannot wait until the boys are old enough to play legos with him. This monster truck would be a great introductory set, too. Add this to your collection by clicking on the picture.
Monster Truck enthusiast need cool bedding! This toddler bed set is fun, colorful, and would make a great centerpiece to a truck themed room. Also, look for the wall decals and other truck-themed accessories. Get started assembling a monster truck bedroom today by clicking on the picture.
We haven't owned a remote control vehicle, but my boys were drooling at this one. The Amazon product page has a good video that shows you all the neat things to truck can do. It can go in water, too! The reviews say that it's decent at climbing as well. Other than the battery charging problem, this would be a really neat toy to bring camping. Click on the picture to read all the details and see the intro video yourself.
This is the generic version of Miss Fritter from Cars 3. I've had my eye on this metal die-cast bus for a long time. It has pull-back action and monster truck tires. The entire bus is about 6 inches long, so it would be a good stocking stuffer or take-a-long toy. Don't procrastinate like I did- click the picture to buy now.
I wanted to include a book in this list of toys. There is not better way to encourage reading than to give kids access to the types of subjects that they want to learn. The book matches the mini monster trucks, the revving truck, and this larger version that I pictured here and talks about all the monster facts and stats. Very cool! Encourage a love of reading by clicking on the links or the picture.
